Abstract
This article aims to answer the role the Catholic school plays in Chile’s currentcontext and what role religion plays in this process. It is the purpose of thisarticle to answer the question of the role of religion and spirituality in shapingthe meaning of life of young people in the final stage of schooling, particularlyin Catholic confessional schools. By using quantitative methods, the resultsshow that in the analysis of the meaning variable and its impact on dimensionsof characterisation, there are differences in the score of the meaning of lifeaccording to the religious self-definition of students. Also, to observe thedifferences when comparing Catholic schools versus secular schools.
