dc.description.abstractEl proyecto «Arte en Riesgo: Humanidades Ambientales y Ciencias Sociales exploran y expresan la vida en riesgo desde el arte» (Arte en Riesgo) se propuso indagar de manera transdisciplinar un territorio designado como «zona de riesgo» desde la perspectiva poshumanista. El proyecto fue ejecutado por los miembros de la Red de Investigación en Humanidades Ambientales (RIHA) de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) durante el 2021. Dicha exploración pretendía la recuperación y resignificación de objetos encontrados en una zona de riesgo, inicialmente imaginada como un vertedero de basura, para su articulación en una instalación en el espacio designado para exhibiciones de arte. El proyecto contempló cinco talleres interdisciplinarios con voluntarios de RIHA, y reuniones semanales durante 10 meses con el núcleo ejecutor. La intención de la exploración fue jugar con el concepto de la creación de mundos posibles más allá de la racionalidad característica de la academia y el humanismo cuestionando concepciones sobre los desechos y su contexto espacio temporal, es decir, dependiendo del sujeto que lo encuentre, un mismo objeto valorado como basura, vestigio, resto, puede ser descartado definitivamente o resignificado. dc.description.abstractThe project «Art at Risk: Environmental Humanities and Social Sciences explore and express life at risk from art» (Art at Risk) set out to investigate in a transdisciplinary way a territory designated as a «risk zone» from the posthumanist perspective. The project was carried out by members of the Red de Investigación en Humanidades Ambientales (RIHA) of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) during 2021. This exploration aimed at the recovery and resignification of objects found in a risk area, initially imagined as a garbage dump, for articulation in an installation in the space designated for art exhibitions. The project included five interdisciplinary workshops with RIHA volunteers, and weekly meetings for 10 months with the executing unit. The intention of the exploration was to play with the concept of the creation of possible worlds beyond the characteristic rationality of the academy and humanism, questioning conceptions about waste and its space-time context, that is, depending on the subject that finds it, a same object valued as rubbish, vestige, remainder, can be definitively discarded or resignified. This essay reports this exploration process.
