Abstract
This thesis investigates the potential detection of long-lived Heavy Neutral Leptons (HNLs) with τ mixing at the Future Circular Collider using e+e− collisions (FCC-ee). By employing Monte Carlo simulations, the production, kinematics, and decay processes of HNLs are explored, focusing on their signatures as long-lived particles. The sensitivity of FCC-ee is analysed within a parameter space defined by the HNL mass M_N and the mixing coupling between HNLs and the light Standard Model neutrinos |V_{τN}|^2. The results highlight the importance of displaced vertices and characteristic kinematic patterns that may serve to distinguish HNL decay products from background noise. As no studies specifically addressed HNLs with τ mixing at the FCC-ee, this work provides critical insights into expanding the search scope into parameter space regions not excluded by current experimental constraints and lays the foundation for enhancing detection strategies to explore the phenomenology of HNLs and their implications for physics beyond the Standard Model.
