dc.description.abstract | The work concerns the multiscale modeling of a nerve fascicle of myelinated axons. We present a rigorous derivation of a macroscopic bidomain model describing the behavior of the electric potential in the fascicle based on the FitzHugh- Nagumo membrane dynamics.
