The livestock sector represents 14.5% of global anthropogenic emissions, which has led to the degradation of natural soil resources for years. However, the implementation of practices associated with regenerative agriculture, such as rotational grazing planning, use of technologies, could mitigate the negative impacts generated by management, through an increase in the concentrations of soil organic carbon, improvements in properties soil physic and chemistry. This study evaluated the effect on soil physicochemical properties, soil organic carbon (SOC) and Stock SOC in nine fields intended for cattle production under regenerative management versus conventional management in southern Chile. The results indicate that the physical properties are those that present the most significant differences in the different fields, but no the SOC, which only presented a significant difference. The technology implemented in some fields, long- term carbon monitoring, land use and the history of management in conventional fields were proposed as relevant aspects to explain the non-significant changes in the evaluation period of this study. For future studies, the implementation of long-term monitoring of soil properties is recommended, in addition to including biological properties such as microorganism activity when monitoring, to evaluate more effective strategies for the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources.
