- ItemAffective Arrangements in the Development of Public Controversies. Feminist Rage(2022) Saiz Echezarreta, Vanesa; Gomez Lorenzini, PaulinaControversy over prostitution is articulated in various public arenas (academic, activist, institutional), it follows ritualized patterns which are based on an affective style and affective resonance characterized since Barnard Conference, in 1982, by anger and indignation. This affective flow defines from confrontation the relationship between the abolitionist movement and the pro-rights movement within Feminism; it generates an affective agreement that modulates the emotional dispositions of participants and the affective intensity of the debate. To unblock the controversy, it is necessary to criticize the current affective arrangement, and inquire about common emotions and affections, to open spaces from which a shared horizon can be imagined.
