Affective Arrangements in the Development of Public Controversies. Feminist Rage
(2022) Saiz Echezarreta, Vanesa; Gomez Lorenzini, Paulina
Controversy over prostitution is articulated in various public arenas (academic, activist, institutional), it follows ritualized patterns which are based on an affective style and affective resonance characterized since Barnard Conference, in 1982, by anger and indignation. This affective flow defines from confrontation the relationship between the abolitionist movement and the pro-rights movement within Feminism; it generates an affective agreement that modulates the emotional dispositions of participants and the affective intensity of the debate. To unblock the controversy, it is necessary to criticize the current affective arrangement, and inquire about common emotions and affections, to open spaces from which a shared horizon can be imagined.

THE PREVALENCE OF MYTH ON ICONOGRAPHIC ADVERTISING. EXPLORING THE CASE OF THE CHILEAN RETAIL
(UNIV DIEGO PORTALES, 2017) Vergara, Enrique; Porath, William; Labarca, Claudia; Gomez Lorenzini, Paulina
This article explores the relationship between artistic mythological representations and its influence in Chilean retail advertising. The study is based on 747 printed ads, published in the mainstream media - newspapers and magazines- in 2013, and aims to establish the link between these ads and mythological representation. Of the total of pieces analyzed, four were selected, which clearly reveal the compositional and symbolic similarities between the advertising graphic of retail and classical mythology.
