ATTACHMENT AND PSYCHOPATHOLOGY: COMPARISON STUDY BETWEEN ADULT ATTACHMENT STYLES WITH AND WITHOUT ANXIOUS-DEPRESSIVE SYMPTOMATOLOGY
(FUNDACION AIGLE, 2011) Santelices Alvarez, Maria Pia; Guzman Gonzalez, Monica; Garrido Rojas, Lusmenia
We developed a study to compare existing differences between attachment styles as a function of the presence or absence of anxious-depressive symptoms within a Chilean adult sample. In doing so, we evaluated 366 participants through the CaMir test (Pierrehumbert et al., 1996) which measures the adult attachment, and the OQ 54.2 test (Lambert et al., 1996) that evaluates anxious-depressive symptoms. The results indicate that there are significant differences between both groups, such that the anxious-depressive symptomatology is associated to insecure attachment styles.

EVALUATIVE MODALITIES IN EMOTIONAL REGULATION: CURRENT APPROACHES
(FUNDACION AIGLE, 2011) Kinkead Boutin, Ana Patricia; Garrido Rojas, Lusmenia; Uribe Ortiz, Natalia
Evaluating emotional regulation requires a certain level of complexity due to the multiple theoretical approaches that exist nowadays as well as a lack of universal agreement as to its conceptualization. Looking at what recent research offers, we capture the most significant and relevant concepts as an urge to come close to offer a unified definition. The present revision seeks to show a panoramic view of the existing evaluation modalities for this construct, placing it in a comprehensive perspective in order to build a guide looking forward to further investigations. Assessment methods as well as principal findings will be revised examining prior core elements of its definition.

Study of Adult Attachment Styles of a Group of Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease
(PONTIFICA UNIV JAVERIANA, FAC PSYCH, 2009) Pia Santelices Alvarez, Maria; Garrido Rojas, Lusmenia; Fuentes Fuentes, Monica; Guzman Gonzalez, Monica; Lizano Martinez, Marcela
Several studies indicate that attachment in adults is feasible with modifications throughout life, especially in situations of change, as is the experience of chronic disease. This study aims to describe the attachment patterns of a group of patients with end-stage renal disease. We studied a group of 22 patients with this disease requiring dialysis, compared with a group of 22 adults for non-clinical sample (without disease), matching the participants according to sex and age. The results showed differences significant patterns of attachment in both groups. Clinically healthy individuals tend to have predominantly a secure attachment pattern, while those patients on dialysis tend to have a preoccupied attachment pattern.
