A work of art as an architectural critique
    (2008) Crispiani, Alejandro
Architectural criticism has become a discipline in itself The installations of Dan Graham seek to analyze architecture from the spotlight of arriving at extremes in diverse situations. They are built like three dimensional works that seek not publicity but to erase the barriers between art and criticism.

    Remnants of the city
(UNIV SAN SEBASTIAN FAC AQUITECTURA & ARTE, ESCUELA ARQUITECTURA, SANTIAGO, 2015) Crispiani, Alejandro; Errazuriz Infante, Tomas
Contrary to what has historically happened with earthquakes that have repeatedly destroyed several cities in Chile, the 2010 earthquake was followed by an unprecedented and fruitful reflection that, from various disciplines, has tried to understand the phenomenon in a new socio-cultural context. Within the framework of this trend, this article explores various uses and representations associated to debris produced by destruction, questioning the traditional approach that conceives them only as useless material whose removal becomes urgent in order to reach the much desired normality. Along these lines, attempts shall be reviewed that try to start a discussion about debris, suggesting new connotations such as possibilities of recycling; evocative force and, therefore, significance as objects of memory and commemoration; or other ways of looking at it linked mainly to art which emphasize the creative and experimental possibilities of what has been destroyed.

THE REAPPEARANCE OF PUBLIC MATTERSHOUSING EXPERIENCES DURING THE POST EARTHQUAKE PERIOD
(UNIV DIEGO PORTALES, 2013) Crispiani, Alejandro; Errazuriz, Tomas
Since the early XIX century, both house and domestic space have gone through a series of technological, programmatic and typological transformations in accordance with the changes in dwelling practices. These range from their progressive connection to utility networks (water, telephone, gas internet, etc.) to the change in number and proportion of places, in their relation with street space or the integration of new devices and technologies. One of the main consequences of this transformation has been the emphasis in private and intimate space as scenario for domestic matters with detriment to different ways of dwelling which are more permeable to public space.
