    Afirmación originaria, Apropiación de sí y Atestación: tres ejes para una hermenéutica de la recepción en Paul Ricœur

    The hermeneutic widening of Paul Ricœur’s phenomenological philosophy determines a methodical turn inspired by a problem whose dominant nucleus is man as a capable subject. Nevertheless, this capacity must be deciphered by exploring the mediations in which man seeks to understand himself. The reading hypothesis of this study holds thatreception, a topic of phenomenological origin, has a hermeneutic plasticity that gives Ricœur exploration keys of some essential knots of his onto-anthropology. The three main concepts through which the role of reception is evaluated make up original affirmation, self-appropriation and attestation. This examination highlights, finally, the unfolding of a hermeneutics which, in its mature stage, is marked by the endless reception of the other.

    De la sospecha a la confianza del sí mismo. Un gesto hermenéutico en la ética de la hospitalidad de Paul Ricœur

    El talante filosófico de la confianza otorga un sello distintivo al pensamiento de Paul Ricœur e irradia su filosofía hermenéutica y su ética. Como presuposición onto-antropológica, la confianza no aparece tematizada expresamente en su obra, pero se puede pesquisar en nociones éticas clave: solicitud y atestación, desarrolladas en Sí mismo como Otro y en la Filosofía de la Voluntad y otros textos. El objetivo del estudio es exhibir dicha confianza como suelo del dinamismo interno de su filosofía, cuyo presupuesto ontológico-ético es la relación originaria del sí con el otro, expresada en el espíritu hermenéutico-esperanzador, inseparable de su carácter hermenéutico-crítico.

    From the outset, Paul Ricœur’s work gives centrality to man's bodily and sensitive nature—his primordial affectivity and fragility—as sources of free action. From Vulnerability to Promise: Perspectives on Ricœur from Women Philosophers explores this dimension and its ethical, political, and conceptual implications, focusing on the embodied dimension of existence, its vulnerability, and its possibilities of attestation and recognition. Edited by Sophie-Jan Arrien and Beatriz Contreras, this book examines the relationships—passivity and activity, mind and body, singularity and sociality, finitude and transcendence—that lie at the heart of Ricœur’s philosophical anthropology, revealing its ontological richness and ethical significance. Within this dimension, the ten contributors approach personal human identity in Ricœur’s work from multiple perspectives: the narrative dimension of understanding; birth and privacy; freedom and recognition; love and consent; justice and respect in the face of abuse; the vulnerability of our natural environment; our inescapable finitude. These viewpoints are informed by both their vision as women philosophers, empowering their embodied condition in a reflexive way, and the urgency of reflecting on the human condition in order to find continuity between its passionate, affective, and finite forces.

    La Odisea de Sí. Paul Ricoeur: atestación y reconocimiento

    El sí-mismo ricoeiuriano es un ser que va mucho más allá de su ser mismo; aborda así el ser del otro, de la pluralidad humana y del sentido de vivir-juntos. Precisamente, en su última obra publicada en vida, Ricoeur analiza dicho vínculo en una hermenéutica que nos conduce a la odisea de sí-mismo. Esta obra, por su parte, aporta un diálogo enriquecedor entre la obra de Ricoeur y especialistas de la talla de Marcel Hénaff, Olivier Abel, Richard Kearney, Georges Taylor, Tomás Domingo Moratalla, Pol Vandevelde, Marie-France Begué y Gilbert Vincent. De esta forma, se produce un encuentro intelectual no solo desde la hermenéutica, sino que también desde la fenomenología, la filosofía del lenguaje o el psicoanálisis, entre otros.
