In this article I present an exegesis of the performative research "Theatre and memory. Strategies of (re) presentation and performative elaboration of children's traumatic memory" whose general objective was to explore performance strategies to stage testimonies of people who were children during the dictatorship in Chile. The project was conducted in two phases: in 2008 the testimonies were collected and we developed a first theatrical laboratory, in a second stage, developed between 2011-2012, we created the testimonial play Pajarito Nuevo la lleva, presented in various theatres and memory sites in Santiago de Chile. In the present article I identify different strategies of mise-en-scene and embodiment of the collected testimonies, accounting of some possibilities of theatrical reelaboration of post-conflict memories.

HERITAGE AUCTION: VALUE CONSTRUCTION IN THE MODERN RUIN THROUGH A SITE-SPECIFIC INTERVENTION

Heritage Auction is a site-specific performatic intervention held at Galeria de Intervencion Especlfica Proyecto Pendiente formerly located where popular galleries from the former Teatro Italia, in Providencia, Santiago used to be based. This place is characterized by a 29 degree gradient and its imminent demolition in 2017. This article suggests that this gradient is a modern ruin, which deterioration aesthetics, opposed to the romantic ruin, makes it invisible, dematerialize it and transform it in abstract space available for real-estate speculation. Heritage Auction aimed at recovering the corporeal condition and gradient material to vest it with value, memory and identity and," therefore, constitute what could be regarded, in Riegl terms, as a involuntary monument with heritage value.
