    SYNTHESIS OF (-)-ENT-YAHAZUNOL DIMETHYL ETHER

    The synthesis of (-)-ent-yahazunol dimethyl ether (7) from the unsaturated ketone 2 is described. The present work confirms the proposed absolute configuration of the naturally occuring (-)-yahazunol (1).
