Hydrogen transfer reactions catalyzed by neutral rhodium(I) Schiff base complexes
    (1984) Valderrama Caceres, Mauricio
Hydrogen transfer reactions from 2-propanol to acetophenone or cyclohexene are catalyzed by neutral rhodium(I) complexes of the type [Rh(COD)L] and [Rh2(COD)2L'] (where L and L' are Schiff base ligands and COD=cycloocta-1,5-diene). Some dependency of the catalytic activity on the electronic and steric properties of the ligands are discussed.

Rhodium(I) complexes with pyridine-2-aldehyde and related Schiff-base ligands
(1983) Oro, Luis A.; Lamata, Mario Pilar; Valderrama Caceres, Mauricio
The synthesis of [Rh(TFB)(PyCH=NR)]ClO4 by reaction of the coordinated pyridine-2-aldehyde (PyCHO) moiety of [Rh(TFB)(PyCHO)]ClO4 with primary amines is described. They are active catalysts for the transfer of hydrogen from isopropanol to acetophenone. The catalytic activity depends upon the basicity of the parent amine. Reactions with carbon monoxide and triphenylphosphine give complexes [Rh(CO)2(PyCH=NR)]ClO4, [Rh(CO)(PPh3)2(PyCH=NR)]ClO4 and [Rh(CO)(PPh3)(PyCH=NR)]ClO4.
